Hello World !

I am amine a Software engineer from France currently based in Melbourne, Australia (At least at the time of writting this post). Before writting about technology and programming, i wanted to introduce myself, my background, why this blog and why merakigai. As many software engineers, my passion from computers started at an early age, since i was i child i have always been amazed by the possibilies a computer offers.

That same passion lead me to take computer science classes in high school , and to study a Bachelor in computer science at the University Of Sciences of Montpellier , France. After this bachelor my interest took me toward Software Engineering, where i completed a Master's degree at the UQAM/ETS Montreal, Canada. During my studies i found that Theory had to be applied to have practical value, that lead me to work as a software engineer during my Master's degree, gaining practial knowledge about building entreprise applications. Since then i have been working as a Software engineer in multiple companies and also freelancing as entrepreneurship is also a passion of mine. This is why i created Merakigai.

Why Merakigai ? The name merakigai comes from the word meraki from greek, which roughly translates to something your put your soul into, and from the japaneese ikigai which means ”Your reason of being”. Because creating software is an art and my deepest passion, i tought it is a fitting name to represent this ethos.

I created this blog as an attempt to technical writting and as a way to share knowledge with others and help the community. In this blog i mainly plan to write about Javascript / Typescript / React / Node and also about the journey that is entrepreneurship, from freelancing to hopefully one day build and launch a successfull micro-SaaS Thank you for reading this first post :)
